God and Teacher

Teaching- is it a science, an art, or a collective effort of personal man management what is it..?? This has never been recognized and no effort has been made to probe into this. For, teaching is a picture which is all about dedication and inspiration.

There has been no organization which has made teachers streamlined for teaching, but the teachers are the ones who have, through their dedication made many organizations, some of which stands tall today. Others have gone into oblivion, yet teaching and the teachers have not got their social recognition and their dues.

A lot of thought and research have gone into the same, and of late many models are being put forward by the Government, to restructure education, with a hope to make it what some call it a world class system of education, but what about teachers ? What would the institution do, if there were no good teachers to carry forward their task of imparting knowledge in a manner responsive to the students.

Parents have always been worried, and their worries stem from the fact that-where do we send our children to learn and study ? Also, what would be their future at the school ? The child goes to school and comes back .One fine day, he passes his exams as well, but it is never the school or the teacher which has cared for the child. It is the parents and the tutors on the personal level which has mattered and never the school or the institution.

The quality of the teachers varies, but as they are not taken care of, adequately and never being considered worthwhile, they too give two hoots. “Go to the teaching institution, fix the student, inspire and aspire them to take private tuitions”; become the honeycake for the teachers make a quick buck and money for their future. We do have it in plenty, the National Council of Education and Research, this, that and what not..?? But there has been no effort made to raise the scale and standard of the teacher. Some quality has been observed and some might have won some award, but efforts to replicate the ones into a “peer” has never been made in this country.

There is a saying that “if compared to God, teachers are very near to God, as they teach us to go to God”. God in India, has never been anybody else except the “stinking” politicians. They have demolished the institution of learning.
